I used to “work” for this company so I can say from experience this company is a pyramid scheme for its employees if your not a higher up and a scam to most people since the solar deal only really works for people paying like 400 dollars a month average electric bills or higher. But I would not recommend these money hungry sharks that dont care about their customers or their own employees. Even if it seems a good deal, find a company that is striving to make everyone happy, not just the ring leaders wallets. It’ll treat you better off in the long run, trust me!

Response to comment: This is iconic you claim to be christian, but in all my time there, not once did I hear about the good lord or see anything related to it, but to each there own! And if you wanna attack a screen name and try to deface me by exposing things that dont matter at all, then that just goes to show how nasty and desperate you are to not look bad. And P.S. I smoked plenty of weed with a couple of the higher ups in the car before and after being dropped off in an area to work. But your company’s a joke and you know it peter sure you made a lot of money for you and your brother and a lucky few others but how can you sit there proudly and know you’ve made other peoples lives worse either due to debt or just using them, I pray that one day you just become an honest man. And thanks for the luck at my new venture its been treating me way better in all ways and manners then genesis ever did and i make alot of money and to top it off im not screwing anyone over for it. And with that, I bade you adieu a good life and better manners.

Yet again another company who ignores no soliciting signs and sends salespeople to every home. The signs are there for a reason, for us its for preventing our dog from being stressed. I’m just going to assume they are training their people to ignore the signs and bother people anyway. Do not use this company and find one on your own through research.

Today’s salesmen, Josh, immediately asked “Are you a renter? We can’t help you if you are a renter.” Maybe thats another reason the sign it out? I watched him go right next door where another no soliciting sign was and ring the doorbell. Find a company that will treat you and your home with respect.

I been getting non stop door to door sales man for solar I was thinking this one would be different. After going on a whole 10 minute sales pitch I thought everything was fine I made it clear from the start I wasn’t interested but would take a business card or flyer to do more research on companies before signing anything. I got a photo of a business card which is a step up from most door sales man that just want your number to hassle you more. I then got handed a flyer that I thought was mine to keep but after I said I didn’t want to waste each other time any longer since it was dinner time the sale man then asked for his flyer back real classy after wasting my time listening to your sales pitch couldn’t even afford to leave your flyer. Yeah when and if I’m ready for solar it WONT be this company 👌🏼

Buyer beware. They will tell you what you want to hear to close the deal. get your own roof inspection before you sign any paperwork and be sure everything they tell you is documented somewhere.

We expressed our concern about our 19 year old roof and they ‘assured us’ they do a preinstallation inspection and if repairs were needed they could assist with that also prior to installation. They also told us if repairs were needed after the fact it was inexpensive to remove and replace the panels after the fact-recollection is $250-we were pleasantly surprised it was inexpensive and that reassured us.

They did the ‘inspection’ and said it looked good. Panels installed and in the span of a few months the roof is leaking and roofing company showed us the poor condition of the underlayment and other items on the roof. Their comment was they never should have put solar on there without repairs first.

We find out now the $250 mentioned(but not in writing) was per panel so now we are out ANOTHER $4500 due to their misleading business practices.

I’ve tried repeatedly to see if they could meet us part way on the R&R cost but they blow us off. We’ll be going to the BBB also. Go elsewhere IMO, which is unfortunate because the actual solar equipment is good and working as advertised but their priority is getting the sale not good business practices or your satisfaction

We purchased a home solar power generation system (to supplement what we buy from SRP) from Genesis about a year ago. We’re now paying more for electricity than ever before — even after receiving state and federal tax credits. The savings estimates we were provided now appear to have been based on unattainably low peak demand. Attempting to modify our usage during SRP’s peak hours to keep our costs below 150% of what we were paying before solar has negatively impacted lives and relationships within our 4-generation household. Managing peak electric usage is a mental load I do not want to have to carry. For a sales company that claims to be in the education business, Genesis failed to educate us about the life changes and discomfort required to attain their estimated costs. Rather than educate, it seems like they tweaked numbers until they got cost and “savings” numbers we’d like; without regard for its basis in reality.

Everyone has been great to work with from Ryan to Jake to Torrance. I had some issues with another solar company and the people at Genesis have done an awesome job to help get things properly taken care of. They’ve helped turn myself, someone who was fairly frustrated with the solar process that I’d experienced into an advocate for their company. Great work!

Converted to Solar approximately a year ago, and have been paying double what I was prior to switching. Before we set an appointment with Tyler, I expressed we have been solicited for Solar but never went forward due to not being able to meet or be less then what I currently pay for electric. Tyler proceeds to give his sales pitch and told us what our bill would be if we converted, he was the first person to quote a monthly price less than our 12 month average for electric. We signed the contract and moved forward. We have been paying our agreed amount as well as no decrease to our electric company. I was told it was due to not accruing solar credits as it was just installed. I suffered through the summer my high summer bill, in addition to the new solar lease. I have tried emailing and contacting Genesis/Kayo and told this will be reviewed but no responses. Our electric company informed us that the solar installed can not support our usage and based on what was installed, it would have never been able to support it. This was a scam, and I am sharing in hopes someone does not make the same mistake I did. I trusted that the person selling the solar could provide a legitimate estimate but they did what they needed in order to make the sale. I am now locked into paying for the solar company and my electric bill.

Gensis team completed the solar system installation at my house in 3 weeks. It took them only 4 hours to install, very professional tech team and their leadership! I strongly recommend using their system and service. AJ and Phil were very thorough technically and helped me understand the savings that solar can bring to our home.

Dalton from Dallas Genesis Power Solutions has been a great help to both me and my daughter as we go through the process of going Solar. His initial presentation was very clear, informative and educational. He has kept in great contact with us after we signed our contracts and was open to any and all questions that we might have. Each of our installations has taken place quickly and smoothly and now we are waiting on City approval.

We have a no soliciting sign on our door, but the guy came by and put something on our door anyway. He then stood by cause he saw we had a ring alarm, so we would see person at our door. He asked for my husband and told us that nuclear power is going away and tried to talk to us about solar. However, he had brochures for Genesis in his back pocket, so I was able to look up the company. When I said, “are you trying to sell us solar?” he said no and then tried to sell us solar. We told him we’re not interested, but he kept talking until we told him again.

Why would you bother standing by someone’s door when there’s a no soliciting sign at it? I’ve seen other reviews where the representatives come by even though there’s a no soliciting sign there. This company is not making a good image for themselves if these are the sales representatives coming to the door. He also wanted to talk to my husband more than me, which doesn’t say very much about him wanting to talk to women.

I filled out an application and decided this company was not right for me. Now They won’t stop sending me spam mail and texts even though I’m not interested in working for the company.

Their solicitors came to my front with two signs asking them not to. I don’t want your product and I don’t want you sending strangers to my house.

Great and very friendly service. Installation was very professional.

Please train your sales people to respect “No Soliciting” signs. When I answered I told the sales rep that I’m in the middle of work, he ignored that and started his spiel. I’d answer a couple of questions and then say “I need to get back to work”, and he’d move right on to his next questions. Completely disrespectful.
